WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

 

NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF U42215 MIDDLE LANE, HADZOR, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

 

Reason for restriction: Burst water mainThere is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

 

  1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with U42216 Hadzor Lane for a distance of 75 metres in an easterly direction.

 

  1. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days, however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 3 days (24hrs) commencing 2 March 2026.

 

  1. Alternative routes: – U42215 Middle Lane (part), C2076 Tagwell Road, C2076 Newland Road to Plough Lane, U42212 Skergens Lane, C2077 Trench Lane,
    C2156 Captains Lane, U42215 Middle Lane (part) and vice versa.

 

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

No access for emergency services, the diversion route must be maintained.

Applications for an Independent Lay Member of the West Mercia Police and Crime Panel are invited from members of the public.

The Panel is part of the governance arrangements for policing in the West Mercia area and its role is to maintain a regular check and balance on the performance of the directly-elected West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner.

The Panel covers the geographical areas of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and Worcestershire with support for the Panel provided by Worcestershire County Council.

Worcestershire County Council elections – 1st May 2025

  • The Worcestershire County Council elections are going ahead and will take place on 1st May this year. The Count will be done the following day at 10am at Pershore Leisure Centre (and obviously other locations around Worcs for the other Districts).
